From use case to show case

Visualise
your use case

Visual content is key on social media. A good image will help your followers to get the whole picture.

GET IN CLOSE

“If your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough” (Robert Capa).

The left picture includes lots of wasted space which makes it less interesting.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Do not try to pack too many elements into your image. It will just end up looking messy. Include one or two points of interest.

This way your audience will not be confused.

SEE THE LIGHT

Before you take a shot, see where the light is coming from and use it to your advantage.

Pay attention to shadows and overexposure.

SHOW PROJECTS & PEOPLE

Prioritise a picture in which non- posed people are in action, over a static picture of e.g. posing persons or machinery. If you’d like to post a portrait, please ask permission first.

The photo needs to tell the story of the project.

EVENTS & CONFERENCES

The photo should show a lively discussion, the event title or an interesting presentation, possibly with a quote from the presenter.

Capture the vibe as good as possible.

ANIMAL WELFARE & SENSITIVITY

The photo should represent our focus on animal welfare. Don’t post images of animals with scratches, blood, deformities or visual signs of disease. Under no circumstances do we want the attention of animal rights activists because of negative publicity.

Keep your animals happy.
