Christian
Christian Walter is an innovation and sustainability consultant with experience at the intersection of the public and private sector innovation enabling programs.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Science from the FernUniversität Hagen, in
Germany, he joined centre for Knowledge and Innovation Management South East Asia at Bangkok University where he worked as an innovation consultant, research and lecturer with MNCs, SMEs and start-ups on developing innovation ecosystem and organisational capabilities for innovation, learning and knowledge exchange. He gained his MBA from Bangkok University with distinction and taught innovation and entrepreneurship undergraduate classes and published several academic papers on innovation and knowledge management topics.
During this time Christian founded the Startup news site BangkokStartup and initiated BKK Web, Thailand’s largest community for web and software development. Christian moved on to establish EdTech Asia a conference provider and consultancy at the intersection between education and technology, which until today still operates conferences and communities across Asia Pacific. He later worked for Google and held senior management roles at
Viessmann and the Japanese company Wantedly Inc., for which he led the European Market
expansion.
He is one of the founding partners of SDGx, a global technology venture capital and advisory
group, headquartered in Singapore with offices in Sydney, Bangkok, and Berlin, dedicated to
achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGx offers a full-service ecosystem that includes business intelligence, deal flow scouting, venture acceleration, research, and innovative investment for all sectors - private, public, and civic.
With strong connections to the European, South-East Asian and Australian Business Ecosystems, Christian continues to focus on building bridges among the regions to enable the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals through ecosystem development.
Nadim
Nadim Choucair is an ecosystem builder and founder of Berlin-based 2030 Cabinet. He has worked at the intersection of the public and private sector to enable innovation in Canada and in Europe, published about entrepreneurship policy in Lebanon, and lately spent two years as a consultant at etventure, an EY company. He’s active on European Commission funded projects with the EU Green Deal and a focus on sustainable cities and sustainable food systems.
Nadim wrote his capstone about integrating the SDGs into a Design Thinking framework while at Fletcher, which then led him to start 2030 Cabinet. He initiated the Global Goals Jam in Berlin, and is a speaker and moderator at conferences and events such as the World Design Summit, Sense Camp, ToolFest, and the G-STIC series, raising awareness and sharing his work on the 2030 Agenda. He’s also an UNLEASH SDG Talent. Nadim is an IE Business School and Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy Alum, and is an experienced facilitator, moderator and public speaker.
2030 Cabinet is on a mission to accelerate progress towards the 2030 Agenda through partnerships and systemic interventions though its cycle of LEARN <> CONNECT <> ENGAGE, providing workshops, trainings, consulting services and innovation scouting, as well as being responsible for running the Global Goals Berlin community
